Kiss Me Goodbye
A song about letting someone go.

I was enthalled by the beautiful soothing voice of Angela Aki when she sang "Kiss Me Goodbye" as the theme song for the 12th installment of the Final Fantasy series. Crystal clear and powerful, not only did she captured feelings of loneliness and sadness, she also rendered croons of strength and hope all in one song.  I will be performing in japanese for the video below. Please pardon me if I butchered such a beautiful language. I think I did okay though.

Note: I made an error during the scene where Tess brought Rose to meet Kay. After Kay says he can get lost for words when meeting new people, the next dialogue is supposed to be Tess speaking instead of Rose.

Haunted (Matt's Cover)
Kelly Clarkson's MY DECEMBER album.

This has got to be my favorite track in Kelly Clarkson's new album titled "My December". Not only does it emote feelings of desolation, it also conveys the angst of being deceived. Have you ever been in a situation where your lover says, "I am sorry. You have been too good to me. I don't think I ever will be good enough for you." and he walks away with his head turned down?

The overbearing sadness of a lover gone cannot be matched with the one who uses false tears to initiate a breakup. The smile that was so deep within cannot be seen but may be felt. Confusion led to being numb. Numb into hurt. And hurt to pain. And that is where we fall.

Simple Game (Matt's Composition)
A song about Vengeance and Karma

The ever-popular phrases "Revenge is sweet" and "What goes around comes around" is evident in this song. This is exactly what the song is trying to convey. The guy betrayed the trust of his lover. The lover plots and plans for justice to be done. The guy is left trying to find answers for his confusion and downfall while his lover looks on with a satisfied smirk on his face. The lover's thirst for a bloodbath is quenched. He ends with a warning to his future partners. The journey with him is not going to be a simple one.
